With so many contradicting information about SEO it is difficult to know what is opinion, what is proven and what will get your site banned. This book is a mix of the first two. There are solid best practices (that can be found for free on the web) mixed in with suggestions that I feel are ludicrous. One example is the suggestion for the title tag. It is suggested that you make the title tag eye catching by adding special characters in the beginning and end. (e.g. $$$$~^~^Widgets Here~^~^$$$$)…
